Both Michigan and Michigan State share Senior Day this season as the Wolverines get a tune-up game before Ohio State next week, and the Spartans look to become bowl eligible.

Illinois at Michigan

Michigan is ranked 3rd this week in the College Football Playoff rankings setting up a massive game next week against Ohio State, but first a reeling Illinois team comes into The Big House.  The Wolverines are 17.5-point favorites, and the game will be at 12 pm on ABC. Illinois season is falling apart after losing two games in a row to Michigan State and Purdue. They are still fighting for the Big Ten West title. Chase Brown, the nation’s leading rusher, will have to continue his terrific season against one of the best defense’s in the the country. Illinois defense had only given up 9 points a game before the losing streak has given up 23 and 31 in the last two. The offense prefers to control the ball which could be crucial in keeping Blake Corum and the Michigan offense off the field. Michigan will continue the dominate ground game and Corum will continue his Heisman run.

Indiana at Michigan State

The Spartans need 1 more win to become bowl eligible and the Indiana Hoosiers come to town for Senior Day. This game is at 12 pm on Big Ten Network. Indiana hasn’t won a game since September 17 and their offense hasn’t had over 300 yards of offense since then. They will start either pocket passer Connor Bazelak or runner Dextor Williams II. Either way, this offense has struggled to do anything, and the defense has given up more than 31 points in their losses. The Spartans will look to continue the new found running attack, especially against an Indiana team that has given up 165 yards or more in the last 5 games. Peyton Thorne will make enough plays in snow to get MSU bowl eligible.
