Sixteen years ago today former NFL player Pat Tillman died serving his country.
He was inspired by the attacks on 9/11 with a spiritual calling to walk away from his pro football career to fight the war on terror. He was killed by friendly fire.
UNSELFISH NFL PLAYER
That doesn’t diminish Pat’s unselfish act of choosing to leave behind his family and career to be on the front lines with his brothers-in-arms.
Tillman is one of over 7000 proud Americans who have made the ultimate sacrifice during the war on terror. All of their stories end with putting their country before anything else in their lives. God Bless those brave soldiers, their families and all who have served and protect us today.
