Late in the show yesterday, news broke that the Milwaukee Bucks decided to boycott going any further with the NBA Playoffs in order to call attention to all of the racial injustices happening around our country. The rest of the players in the league also decided that they would boycott, which postponed the playoffs until Friday or Saturday. To start off the show we were joined by Scoop Jackson so we could get his thoughts on how all of this played out, some of the difficulties he’s dealt with as a black man in America, and how change NEEDS to happen – and fast. Scoop brought a lot of things to light that helped give some perspective we wouldn’t have normally come across in our lives.

We continued the conversation in our second hour about what the NBA decided to do last night. It seems to have caught some great traction as other leagues like the NHL and MLB have decided to postpone games tonight in order to raise awareness. In the beginning of the hour we were joined by Sam Webb in Ann Arbor so we could get his perspective on sports during this time as well as some of the things he’s personally dealt with. We were then joined by Jason Jackson who works for the Miami Heat so we could get his thoughts from down in Florida.

In our final hour we kept the conversation rolling about the NBA and other leagues standing up against the hate in this country. To kick off the this hour we were joined by Grant Long to get his take on the different sides that everyone in our country seems to be on – and says we need to be better as a community. We were then joined by Rod Beard for his take on what’s been happening over the past few days. We wrapped up the show by playing something said by Dan Crenshaw at the RNC about David Warsen Jr.
