Huge opened the show today talking about the Big Ten football schedule, Major League Baseball, the NBA bubble, and if college football will even be played this fall. He also was emotional about taking the politics out of this pandemic for the sake of not only sports, but the future of our Country. As we were waiting patiently for the college football schedule to released, Huge asked the audience if they think there will even be a season this year, if it gets pushed to spring, or if it doesn’t even come back until Fall 2021.
In our second hour we carried on the conversation about college football coming back with our friend Brad Galli from Detroit. As Huge was interviewing Brad, news broke that Matthew Stafford has been taken off the Covid reserve list due to a false/positive test. Then we moved on to talk about the PGA Championship at TPC Harding Park this week. We were joined by PGA rules official Mark Wilson to get his thoughts on the event, what it’s like for him not being able to be in attendance this year, and much more. We also took your calls and comments about the college football season.
In the final hour of the show today, news broke that the Big Ten now won’t be releasing their schedule until this Wednesday. Apparently things are more up in the air than they appeared. We then moved on to talk about what’s happening this weekend at the Michigan International Speedway. Jeff Striegle joined us to talk about what’s happening in the Nascar circuit right now. We talked a little more about the PGA Championship with Rex Hoggard. We wrapped up the show with Tim McCullough from the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort in Mt. Pleasant.
