We’re talking more about the return of B10 football today as news broke early yesterday morning. We were joined throughout the entire show by some of our great U-M and MSU insiders to get their thoughts on said return. First we were joined by George Blaha to get his perspective on if he believes it was the right call for the B10 to make. George also gave us his take on how new MSU Coach Mel Tucker might do this year. We were then joined by Tim May to talk more about the return of the B10 from an OSU perspective. Huge and Tim also discussed the mask mandates throughout the state as it relates to college football players out on the field.
In our second hour, we continued the conversation about the B10 coming back for a 9 game season starting in October. We were first joined by Graham Couch out of Lansing to get his take on if it was the right thing to do, how the tests and resources played a large part in football coming back, and much more. We were then joined by Aaron McMann from MLive to get another U-M perspective on everything that’s been going on recently. We also got an update regarding Governor Whitmer’s mask order and if they plan on treating college athletes more like the pros when it comes to wearing a mask during play. We wrapped up the hour with a US Open update from our friend Mark Wilson.
We kept the discussion going about the B10 in our final hour today as well. First, we were joined by Matt Wenzel for his perspective on if the right decision was made or not. He also gave us some insight into what he heard at the B10 press conference from yesterday. We were then joined by the voice of Michigan Football, Jim Brandstatter. Jim joined us to talk about how excited he is for a season – especially after he and Huge spoke a month ago and it didn’t seem like this would even be a possibility. We wrapped up the show by having Tom Rosenbach on from BeeneGarter so he could take Huge’s college football picks.
