Today, we were joined by Mark Uyl, the Executive Director of the Michigan High School Athletic Association. On Monday, Governor Whitmer announced that she would be extending our “pause” another 12 days. This ultimately meant that the Mark and his team at the MHSAA could not follow through with their plan of getting High School athletes back to play as soon as they’d hoped. Mark and his team have provided the data showing us that it’s safe for these athletes to be playing their Fall Championships/restarting Winter sports at this time.
