Today the Big Ten released the revised 10-game conference-only football schedule, and here are the results for Michigan State football.

NEW SCHEDULE FOR MSU

9/5 MINNESOTA
9/12 @ Maryland
9/19 NORTHWESTERN
9/26 @ Penn State
10/3 @ Michigan
10/10 OFF WEEK
10/17 OHIO STATE
10/24 RUTGERS
10/31 @ Iowa
11/7 INDIANA
11/14 OFF WEEK
11/21 @ Nebraska

WHAT CHANGED IN THE SCHEDULE

The most obvious change is the loss of the non-conference games. Michigan State was scheduled to host Miami (FL) and Toledo. The Spartans were also scheduled to travel to BYU this fall as well. The Big Ten announced in early July that all non-conference games were canceled and that Football would move to an all-conference schedule.

As for the Big Ten schedule, Michigan State didn’t lose any opponents from the original nine conference games scheduled, but gained a cross-division game at Nebraska on Nov. 21. The other changes in the schedule are the change of locations of two games. Michigan State was originally scheduled to host Michigan this season on Oct. 10. That game will be played instead on Oct. 3 in Ann Arbor. Michigan State was also scheduled to go to Bloomington, Ind., to take on the Hoosiers on Oct. 24. The Spartans will instead host Indiana for a second straight year and play on Nov. 7.
