The defending back-to-back Division 2 national champion Ferris State University football team has been invited to the White House.  In a June 8th interview on the Huge Show, Ferris State Athletic Director, Steve Brockelbank, talked about this historic opportunity and how it came together in a few short days.

“This has been kind of a rush rush deal, but very exciting,” said Brockelbank.  “…the Wednesday before for Memorial Day weekend, that afternoon, we received an email stating that they’re going to have a College Athlete Day honoring several national championship teams at the White House this Monday. We had to determine by Monday, Memorial Day, Monday at noon, if we wanted to attend and give them the expected number of student athletes that would attend. And then we had two days to provide names. And so we’ve been rushing, and we just got flights secured yesterday. So yeah, it’s been fun and we’re looking forward to the opportunity to go.”

More on this exciting development for Ferris State, along with other Ferris State news and updates can be heard in the “Moving Ferris Forward” segment on the June 8th, 2023 Huge Show podcast clip here.
